P.S. I Love Me: A Guide To Finding the Joy of Love from the Founder

P.S. I love me. Do you have to love yourself before you can love? The answer is Yes, and No. We all have an inner relationship with ourselves! You either love yourself, hate yourself, or may not like yourself right now. If you love yourself, then you are on the right track for feeling the full joy of love! If you hate yourself, there is no chance of FULLY loving anything.

We all have demons because we live in a fallen world. There are times we don’t like ourselves for one reason or another. The devil loves us to wake up and say, “OMG! I look terrible today! Or “I can’t believe what I did yesterday and I hate myself for it!” We all have scars from emotional and physical traumas. If we don’t know how to deal with them or feel we can’t deal with them, it starts impacting how we think about ourselves.

However, we still can have loving relationships without liking who we are. Right now, you may have a husband and children to care for, and you don’t like yourself for some reason, but that does not mean you don’t love your family. If you are single and down on yourself, that does not mean you can’t find Mr. Right. You can find love, but not fully feel love the way God intended for you.

REMEMBER, you have to have a loving relationship with yourself first to feel the full benefits of joy from love. 1. Mark 12:31 says “Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.” This verse means to love anyone you must love yourself first.

How do you have a loving relationship with yourself so you can feel the joy of love?

These are the guidelines I have learned to follow to find the joy of love::

-Believe God loves you.

-Follow Jesus and have faith that the Holy Spirit will guide and help you to be all you can be.

-When you have a bad day or feel down know Jesus is there to lift you up. Pray and talk to God about your problems. There is nothing He cannot handle.

-Look after yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically. Self Care is critical, like eating right, exercising, and making yourself a priority.

-Accept yourself and be confident in yourself because God made you…YOU! God knows what he is doing with you so embrace who you are. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made: your works are wonderful. I know that full well.” Psalms 139:14

-We often rely on others to make us happy. No! No! No! Trap, trap, trap! Make yourself happy, and your light will shine on others.

-LIMIT NEGATIVITY

-SEEK UNLIMITED POSITIVITY

These tips can start making you think about how you can have a better relationship with yourself so you too can feel the joy of love with others!
