God may be telling you something in your dreams. There are 21 dreams mentioned in the Bible from Genesis to Revelations. God chose to speak to certain people through symbolic dreams to warn them of something occurring or use them as important messengers. God gave instructions and prophecy for future events to certain men in the Bible. Do you remember Joseph, Daniel, and the whole Book of Revelation? These were examples of how God used dreams given to these men to foretell the future.
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters will shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” (Joel 2:28, KJV) This scripture tells us that before the Holy Spirit’s gift, God used dreams to communicate with us.
Today, God does not use our dreams, as He did in the Bible. The Bible is complete, and we have the gift of the Holy Spirit as our teacher and guide. However, God still uses our dreams to help guide or warn us of certain situations. If we become too busy in our daily lives and cannot find the time to sit with God, he still finds a way to communicate with us even if we are sleeping. How cool is that? We are so lucky because our Father in Heaven loves us so much!
